Mideastwire.com is an Internet-based news service established in 2005 in Beirut, Lebanon that employs a team of translators around the region to gather important stories from and about the Middle East. As it currently stands, we cover news from all 22 Arab countries and the Arab media Diaspora.

Yamen Soukkarieh
Director of Operations
Since graduating in 1999 with a Communication Media Degree from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Yamen has worked as a producer and cameraman for numerous Lebanese and international films, media productions and media organizations including CNN, Arte and Al-Jazeera among others.
Zeina El Roueiheb
Senior Translator
Zeina has a Masters in Public Health from the American University of Beirut. She joined Mideastwire as a translator in August 2009. Between 2010 and 2013, she also worked as a part-time translator for Al-Hayat newspaper.
Mirella Dagher
Senior Translator
Mirella has been with Mideastwire since January 2006. She graduated with a Master's Degree in translation from the Beirut-based Université Saint-Joseph in 2004, with an emphasis on poetic translations. Since then, she has translated books on Hezbollah and the Taliban Movement and enjoys extensive experience in pinpointing and rendering into English the most relevant content featured in the Arabic press.
