“What is the Emirati security delegation doing in Tel Aviv?”
On August 12, the Al-Khaleej Online website carried the following report: “The UAE is going through its golden, unprecedented phase, in the history of its relations with Israel knowing that, in a matter of a few months only, it has built the largest normalization bridges with the latter that shall pave the way for a new phase where the occupation state shall constitute a powerful ally.

“The position of the State of the Emirates regarding opening the door of the relations with Israel is no longer a secret. Its efforts, moves, latest meetings and even statements of its officials indicate that the UAE is proceeding with firm steps into the tunnel of the public normalization despite all the calls issued by the Palestinians and the parties who support their cause to walk away from this dark tunnel where Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have already entered.

“The developments of the relations that are gradually growing between the Occupation State and the UAE have been reflected upon the uncovering of a visit by a prominent Emirati security delegation to Tel Aviv some days ago where the delegation met with Israeli politicians and security officers as per well-informed sources from Ramallah who spoke to Al-Khaleej Online.

“The sources insisted that the Emirati security delegation that visited Israel this past weekend was headed by the commander of the intelligence services of Abu Dhabi, Ali Mahmoud al-Shamesi, in addition to four other Emirati security figures. The delegation conducted a number of encounters and tours within the Occupation State in the company of prominent Israeli delegations. The sources added: “The Emirati delegation paid a number of visits to important and secret Israeli military locations in addition to meeting with military and security officials to discuss the exchange of knowledge and to expand the circle of the military relations and the exchanged visits between the two sides.”

“The well-informed sources indicated that the Emirati delegation visited Israel some months ago and that an official agreement was reached between the two sides on carrying out regular visits and transferring military expertise from Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi in addition to signing deals entailing the purchase of large weapons and ammunition including large jets, drones, rockets, communication equipment and modern military vehicles.

“The sources further said that this large and previously unseen deal in the history of the relations between the Arab countries and Israel will be announced very soon and will be very loud especially since an Arab country will be purchasing weapons from the Occupation State directly despite all the crises in the region and the military developments and escalation at the Palestinian lands. In the same context, the same sources told Al-Khaleej Online that Israel filed an official request in July asking that the UAE increases the number of its representatives and diplomatic delegation in Israel. The demand was immediately approved..."
